If you have multiple worlds, pretend there are no worlds and all levels are just one long sequence in other words, if world 1 had 9 stages and 2 bonus rooms, then world 2-1 would be indexed as 13 (world 1 start + 9 stages + 2 bonus rooms + world 2 start + world 2-1 ). Once the player passes the pit, the midway point is activated. After the player passes the second Star Coin, they encounter a pit, with a Pokey and a few more floating platforms above it. The second Star Coin can be found by some quicksand and another Pokey. The player then finds three Pokeys and some floating platforms. The first Star Coin can be found nearby, along with another Pokey. The player finds three bricks and a Pokey after the Spiny. A Pokey appears as the first enemy of the level.
